Patricia Jimenez

Candidate for Phoenix City Council, District 4

Patricia Jimenez is a dedicated mother, advocate, and community leader with a deep commitment to education, public service, and the well-being of her fellow citizens. As a school board member and an engaged member of her community, she has witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by the people of Phoenix. Now, Patricia is stepping up to run for the Phoenix City Council District 4 seat, driven by her unwavering belief in finding effective solutions to the pressing issues affecting our daily lives.

Understanding the urgent need for affordable housing, addressing homelessness, tackling the growing water crisis, and preserving the distinct character of our neighborhoods in District 4, Patricia is determined to provide tangible, results-oriented leadership. Her passion stems from her own journey as an immigrant from Chihuahua, Mexico, where she arrived at the age of eight alongside her parents and five older siblings, all seeking a better future and the quintessential American Dream. Raised in a hardworking family, Patricia learned the values of community and compassion from her parents, Elisa Soto and Manuel Soto, who instilled in her the importance of family and giving back.

Having spent her entire life in the Maryvale area, Patricia received her education from local schools and went on to raise her own children in the very community that bestowed countless opportunities upon her. It was during her children’s school years that Patricia recognized certain discrepancies within the local school district. Naturally, as a concerned mother, she took action by immersing herself in PTA and school board meetings. However, Patricia soon realized that if she truly wanted to effect meaningful change, she needed to dive deeper into the realm of public service. Thus, she courageously ran for the Isaac Elementary School Board and emerged victorious.

Throughout her tenure, Patricia’s unwavering dedication brought stability to the school district. Her steadfast efforts ensured that teachers and educators received competitive compensation through prudent budget management. In her eyes, every individual holds significance and contributes significantly to the education of the children attending the Isaac Elementary School District.

Armed with invaluable experience in overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets, recruiting top talent, ensuring the well-being of employees, and prioritizing community input in decision-making, Patricia is confident in her ability to advocate fiercely for the people of District 4 as their next Phoenix City Council Member. With a professional yet personable approach, she strives to bridge the gap between citizens and local government, amplifying the voices of her constituents and delivering impactful outcomes for all.
